Calendar & Schedule Planner Online
Add, edit, and colour-code events on a monthly calendar with a day-by-day agenda view. Everything saves automatically in your browser — no signup, runs entirely in your browser.
No events — click + Add to schedule one.
How the Schedule Planner Works
- 1Click any date on the calendar to select it — the agenda panel shows all events for that day.
- 2Click + Add, enter a title, an optional time, optional notes, and choose a colour for the event.
- 3Press Add Event — a coloured dot appears on the calendar and the event shows in the agenda, sorted by time.
- 4Use the edit and delete icons on each event card to update details or remove events. Navigate months with the arrow buttons.
Why Use a Browser-Based Planner?
Cloud calendar apps require accounts, permissions, and often subscriptions. A local, browser-based planner removes all that friction: open the page and start scheduling. It is well suited for planning a week of tasks, tracking appointments, or mapping out deadlines without committing to yet another account or app.
The colour-coding system lets you distinguish event types at a glance — use one colour for work commitments, another for personal appointments, and a third for deadlines. The agenda panel keeps the day's events readable even when the calendar grid is dense.
Tips for Effective Schedule Planning
Use Colours Consistently
Assign one colour per category — work, personal, health, deadlines. A consistent scheme lets you read the month at a glance without opening every event.
Add Time Even if Approximate
Setting a time of "09:00" or "14:00" keeps events sorted in the agenda and anchors them to your day, making it easier to spot scheduling conflicts.
Use Notes for Context
The notes field is perfect for location, preparation reminders, or a link to a document. A short note saves you from having to reconstruct context later.
Plan the Week on Sunday
Spend a few minutes each Sunday reviewing the coming week. Add any meetings, tasks, or commitments while they are fresh, then adjust daily as things change.
Keep Deadlines Visible
Add deadline events in red and schedule the actual work a day or two before. This buffer shows on the calendar and prevents last-minute rushes.
Pair With a Focus Timer
Pick your most important event for the day, then use a Pomodoro timer to work on it in focused blocks. The planner tells you what to do; the timer tells you when to stop.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are my events saved when I close the tab?
Yes. Every event is saved automatically to your browser's localStorage as soon as you add or edit it. Your schedule persists across page refreshes, tab closes, and browser restarts on the same device. No account, server, or cloud storage is involved — your data never leaves your computer.
How do I add an event to a specific day?
Click any date on the calendar grid to select it — the agenda panel on the right updates to show that day. Then click "+ Add" to open the event form. Enter a title (required), an optional time, and optional notes, pick a colour, and click Add Event. The event appears in the agenda immediately and a coloured dot marks the date on the calendar.
Can I edit or delete an event after adding it?
Yes. In the agenda panel, hover over any event to reveal the edit (pencil) and delete (bin) icons. Click the pencil to reopen the form pre-filled with the event's details — change whatever you need and click Save Changes. Click the bin to remove the event permanently.
What do the coloured dots on the calendar mean?
Each dot represents one event on that date, using the colour you assigned when creating the event. Up to three dots are shown; if a day has more than three events, the remainder is shown as a count (e.g. +2). Clicking the date reveals all events in the agenda panel.
Is there a limit on how many events I can add?
There is no enforced limit. Browser localStorage supports up to 5 MB per domain, which is enough for thousands of events with titles and notes. If you use the planner over many months without clearing old events you may eventually approach this limit, but for typical personal scheduling use you will never hit it.
Can I use this as a recurring event calendar?
Not currently — each event is added individually to a specific date. For recurring events such as weekly meetings or monthly check-ins, the fastest approach is to add the first instance, then quickly duplicate it by adding an identical event on each recurrence date. A dedicated recurring-event feature may be added in a future update.
Will my schedule sync across devices?
No. Because the planner stores data locally in your browser's localStorage, it is tied to the specific device and browser you used. Opening the tool on a different device or in a different browser (e.g. switching from Chrome to Firefox on the same computer) starts a fresh empty calendar. For cross-device sync, export your events or use a cloud-based calendar alongside this tool.
Can I use the planner on my phone?
Yes. The layout switches to a single-column stack on small screens, showing the calendar above the agenda panel. All features — adding, editing, deleting, and navigating months — work on mobile browsers. The calendar cells are touch-friendly and the agenda form is easy to fill on a touchscreen.
