Crypto Signal Analyzer
Live technical analysis for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and 8 more coins — RSI, MACD, Moving Averages, Volume, Rate of Change, Support/Resistance, and the Fear & Greed Index, all combined into a single buy/sell/neutral signal. Data updates daily and is cached locally.
How to Read the Crypto Signals
- 1Select a coin from the list (BTC, ETH, or one of the other supported assets). The analyzer loads daily OHLCV price data for that coin.
- 2Review the individual indicator signals — RSI momentum, MACD crossover direction, moving average trend, volume confirmation, and Rate of Change. Each indicator shows its current value and a bullish / bearish / neutral reading.
- 3Review the combined signal at the top. This aggregates all individual indicators into a single buy, sell, or neutral summary weighted by signal strength.
- 4Cross-reference with the Fear & Greed Index for market sentiment context — extreme fear or greed can amplify or contradict the technical signal.
About Technical Analysis for Crypto
Technical analysis applies statistical tools to historical price and volume data to identify patterns and potential future price movements. Unlike fundamental analysis (evaluating the underlying value of a project), technical analysis focuses entirely on price action and momentum indicators. In cryptocurrency markets, where price is driven heavily by sentiment and momentum, technical signals can be particularly informative — though never definitive.
This analyzer combines multiple independent indicators to reduce false signals from any single indicator. When RSI, MACD, moving averages, and volume all align in the same direction, the combined signal is stronger than any single indicator alone. Conflicting signals across indicators indicate an uncertain or ranging market where directional bets carry higher risk.

How to Use Technical Signals Responsibly
No Single Indicator Is Enough
RSI alone generates false signals in trending markets. MACD alone lags at reversals. Combining multiple indicators that agree increases the reliability of a signal — divergence between indicators is a warning, not permission to ignore them.
Signals Are Probabilistic
A buy signal does not mean the price will go up. It means that historically, similar conditions have preceded upward moves more often than not. Losing trades will happen even with correct signal reading.
Use Sentiment as Context
Extreme Fear readings have historically been better long-term entry points than Extreme Greed readings. Use the Fear & Greed Index to time entries when technical signals align with sentiment extremes.
Daily Signals for Long-Term Moves
This tool uses daily timeframe data, making it suited for identifying weekly-to-monthly trend signals. Day traders need hourly or 15-minute data from a dedicated exchange platform. Do not use daily signals for intraday decisions.
Golden Cross vs Death Cross
The 50/200-day moving average crossover is a well-known long-term trend indicator. Bitcoin's historical Golden Crosses have correlated with bull market phases; Death Crosses with bear phases. These are lagging indicators — they confirm trends, not predict them.
This Is Not Financial Advice
Technical analysis is one input among many. Cryptocurrency markets are highly volatile and can move against all technical indicators due to regulatory news, exchange events, or macroeconomic shocks. Always apply risk management and size positions appropriately.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is RSI and what do the values mean?
RSI (Relative Strength Index) is a momentum oscillator that measures the speed and magnitude of recent price changes on a scale of 0–100. Values above 70 indicate overbought conditions — the asset may have risen too fast and a pullback is possible. Values below 30 indicate oversold conditions — the asset may have fallen too far and a reversal is possible. Values between 30 and 70 are considered neutral.
What does the MACD signal indicate?
MACD (Moving Average Convergence Divergence) measures the relationship between two exponential moving averages. When the MACD line crosses above the signal line, it is interpreted as a bullish (buy) signal. When it crosses below, it is a bearish (sell) signal. The histogram shows the distance between the MACD and signal lines — growing bars indicate strengthening momentum.
What is the Fear & Greed Index?
The Crypto Fear & Greed Index measures overall market sentiment on a scale of 0 (Extreme Fear) to 100 (Extreme Greed). It is computed from volatility, market momentum, social media signals, and dominance data. High greed (above 75) has historically preceded market corrections; extreme fear (below 25) has often preceded recoveries. It is a sentiment indicator, not a price predictor.
How often does the data update?
Price and indicator data is fetched from public APIs and cached locally in your browser for the session. The cache refreshes daily. The Fear & Greed Index updates once per day. For intraday trading decisions, use a dedicated exchange platform with real-time charting — this tool is designed for daily-timeframe signals.
Can I use these signals to make trading decisions?
Technical signals are probabilistic tools, not guarantees. RSI, MACD, and moving averages can generate false signals — especially in ranging markets or during news-driven price moves. This tool is for educational and research purposes. Always apply your own judgment, use risk management, and never invest more than you can afford to lose.
What coins does the analyzer support?
The analyzer covers Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and 8 additional major cryptocurrencies by market capitalization. The coin list reflects widely-traded assets with sufficient price history for meaningful indicator calculations.
Is my data or browsing activity tracked?
No. The analyzer fetches public price data from APIs and processes all indicator calculations in your browser. No personal data, browsing behavior, or coin preferences are recorded or sent to PublicSoftTools servers.
What is a Moving Average crossover signal?
A moving average crossover occurs when a shorter-period MA (e.g., 50-day) crosses above or below a longer-period MA (e.g., 200-day). A shorter MA crossing above the longer MA is called a Golden Cross and is considered bullish. The reverse — shorter crossing below longer — is a Death Cross and is considered bearish. These are longer-term trend signals rather than short-term triggers.
